Following a law degree from Edinburgh University, Kathy trained as a chartered accountant with KPMG working in a variety of industries and gaining wide ranging experience in all aspects of small business development.   Kathy is also an MBA graduate from Strathclyde Graduate Business School

In June 08, Kathy was appointed Investment Manager for Borders based business group TriCapital.

She lives in the Scottish Borders and, in addition, to involvement in a number of community and voluntary organisations, is a member of the Scottish Enterprise Regional Advisory Board for South of Scotland

Kathy has more than 20 years experience in the venture capital industry latterly as Investment Director of W L Ventures and West Lothian Venture Fund responsible for all aspects of investigating and managing their portfolio of investments.    Following Braveheart Investment Group's acquisition of W L Ventures in April 2007, Kathy became a director of Eddleston Innovation where her main focus continues to be on working with young companies.   Recent clients have included Braveheart Investment Group, Scottish Enterprise  and LINC Scotland.
