Patrick is a non-executive director of Scotland Electronics International Ltd, where he represents investors introduced by Beer & Partners.  He was also a director of a company that owned satellite bandwidth for broad band communications which the investors successfully exited via an asset sale in 2011.

Patrick has a BSc (Hons) in Agriculture from the University Reading and an MPhil in Management Studies from Linacre College, Oxford. He started his career working with investors investing into agribusiness projects in central Africa, before joining Cargill Technical Services, the agribusiness advisory division of the Cargill Group Plc.  For the last 15 years he has been involved in financing young growing companies, 10 of which have been with Beer & Partners based in Edinburgh and in the late 1990’s with Venture Capital Report Ltd based in Oxford. His other interests include sailing, restoring a 65 year old wooden yacht and exploring the Scottish mountains on foot or with a paraglider.
